Port One Logistics Park

JMS Engineers is proud to have played a pivotal role in the development of the Port One Logistics Park, a state-of-the-art 56-acre business and logistics hub in Great Blakenham, Suffolk. The site, which benefits from its strategic location on the A14 and Freeport East status, presented challenges including a 27m level difference and varying ground condition.

To optimise the site, terracing was employed to minimise imported fill material, with cut-and-fill techniques ensuring stability and efficiency. Surface and foul water drainage systems were designed to incorporate infiltration features tailored to the site’s diverse ground strata. Concrete foundation pads supported steel frame warehouses, ensuring structural integrity for the park's operational demands.

Additional works included pavement design and external levels, seamlessly integrating the development with its operational requirements.
